Preservation


Lee-on-the-Solent, Hampshire, England, is the home to the Hovercraft Museum which houses the world's better accumulating of hovercraft designs, including some of the ancient and largest. Much of the accumulating is housed aural two retired SR.N4 hovercraft, and abounding hovercraft in the accumulating are operational.

Hovercraft are still in use amid Ryde on the Isle of Wight and Southsea on the mainland. The service, operated by Hovertravel, runs abounding times an hour and is the fastest way of accepting on or off the island. Large commuter hovercraft are still bogus on the Isle of Wight.
